November 4th couldn’t come soon enough. I mean, for Stark County, this is huge. Dave and Buster’s coming to Belden Village.
So Monday November 4th came, and it went. To say I was disappointed with opening day is an understatement. Of course opening day was on a Monday, during the day. But damn, I really thought there would be wall-to-wall people. I think we had a max of 20 people come in at 11. There might have been a handful of people at the ribbon cutting. I have to remember, this is Stark County, a lot of people don’t have a lot of money, and let’s be honest here, Dave and Buster’s isn’t cheap.
Ya, I’m disappointed with opening day, but it was a good thing that all of us servers that worked that day were able to hone our skills a little better in a “live” environment, rather than just doing simulations with our co-workers. So that was actually nice. I mean, could you imagine 22 servers ringing in wrong things constantly with 1,000 people here???? That would just be a nightmare.
In the grand scheme of things, I still feel like I made the right choice. There is a lot of room for advancing here, I’ve already talked to Corey, who is a District Manager, and introduced myself as “your next General Manager”, so he’ll remember me. 🙂
